Well now, there could be movement regarding Liverpool transfer news about Nat Phillips’s future.
The towering defender has only played two Premier League games this season for the Reds.
He was included in the squad for both of Liverpool’s previous FA Cup encounter – the draw at home to Wolves and then the replay at Molineux.
However, Jurgen Klopp has left him out entirely of this afternoon’s visit to Brighton in the same competition.
And it could be related to a transfer away from Anfield.

That’s because Klopp himself admitted on Friday that Phillips could be sold if offers were to come in – as covered by HITC Sport.
And the fact that he’s nowhere to be seen today is, well, a little bit suspicious to say the least.
Of course, Phillips may have picked up an injury in training at some point between Friday and now.
But given that his future was among the talking points at the press conference, it’s far more plausible that his omission is linked to a departure from Liverpool.
It remains to be seen if Klopp has indeed received an offer or if he wants to keep Phillips – labelled ‘insane’ by Klopp in 2021 [official website] – fit in the event that invitations do arrive between now and Tuesday’s 11pm deadline.
However, one thing for sure is that this relates to Liverpool transfer news and the Reds are prepared to sell the player.
This omission proves as much.
