Italian outlet CMW claim Liverpool are preparing a bid to sign Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and are ready to include Naby Keita in a move for the Croatia star in the next fortnight – with Brozovic valued at a fee of around £30m.
Brozovic, 30, has been a stalwart for Inter – clocking up 302 appearances for Inter. But this season, he has only played 12 times in all competitions for the Nerrazzuri. He missed all five Serie A games in October due to a hamstring injury.
Then, returning from the World Cup with Croatia, Brozovic has missed the last three League games with a calf issue. It has seen the 83-time Croatia star fall down the pecking order at Inter. Liverpool have been long linked with a move.
CMW claimed towards the end of 2022 that Liverpool were looking at a move for Brozovic, to replace on-loan Arthur. Another report from Italy, namely Mondo Calcio News, said Tottenham are ahead of anyone in the race for Brozovic.

Now, Liverpool are said to be on the offensive. The latest CMW report claim that the Reds are preparing a surprise bid to sign Brozovic – who is rated at £30m – by offering a cash sum, as well as Keita. His contract expires in the summer.

Liverpool need midfielders. Jude Bellingham has been strongly linked. Italian journalist Rudy Galetti says Bellingham is on a six-man shortlist along with Mikel Merino, Youri Tielemans, Moises Caicedo, Sofyan Amrabat and Piotr Zielinski.
But if the Reds are to make a cheap-ish signing and use one of their out-of-contract midfielders as bait, why not sign Brozovic? He would give Fabinho a rest, one that is needed, given his form. So, signing Brozovic makes plenty of sense.
