A new report has revealed the price tag set by RB Salzburg to sell Liverpool transfer target Luka Sucic in the summer of 2023.

The creative midfielder hinted at being open to the move to Anfield in March, while saying that his head has not turned just because one of the biggest clubs in the world were keen on his signature.

Now, it seems as if RB Salzburg are ready to sanction the transfer of Luka Sucic, who has been targeted by Liverpool as part of their midfield rebuild.

How much will Liverpool have to pay to complete Luka Sucic transfer?

The 20-year-old has been dubbed as the ‘next [Luka] Modric’ by a number of outlets as the similarities between the pair’s playing styles are uncanny.

While Sucic has a mere four assists in the Austrian Bundesliga this season, much like the Real Madrid legend, his game is more focused on controlling the tempo of a match rather than producing end product.

As per a report by Salzburger Nachrichten, RB Salzburg would be willing to okay a transfer for Liverpool target Luka Sucic for £17 million in the summer.

It has also been claimed that Jurgen Klopp’s men have been keeping a close eye on his progress for a while now.

While all the focus has been on bringing Jude Bellingham to Merseyside, any potential deal would eat up a chunk of any team’s budget.

Instead, signing an unearthed gem such as Luka Sucic is exactly the kind of transfer Michael Edwards would have agreed to, and it is such low-risk, high-reward signings that made Liverpool one of the best teams in the world.

As the Reds have a number of problem areas to address, it would be smarter to prioritize both quality and quantity rather than putting all the eggs in the Bellingham-shaped basket.
