It has been reported that the feelings within the Manchester City camp are rather optimistic about getting a transfer for Liverpool target Jude Bellingham over the line.
A claim was made on Wednesday that Jurgen Klopp’s side had pulled out of the race to sign the £22 million (Guardian) man due to financial constraints.

Now, it seems those at Manchester City are assured that they could win the transfer race to sign Liverpool target Jude Bellingham after all.
Manchester City confident about winning transfer battle for Bellingham
The Reds may well be left feeling gutted, considering legends such as Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher have voiced their desire openly for him to play at Anfield next season.
However, the Telegraph journalist Jason Burt has given Manchester City the edge over Real Madrid and Liverpool in the transfer tug-of-war to sign Jude Bellingham.
“Quiet confidence at Man City that they can win this race”, he tweeted.
In his report, Burt claimed that while the starting price to sign the Englishman is £125 million, the Sky Blues are prepared to pay ‘whatever it takes’ to get the player, branded as ‘gifted’ by Phil Foden via MEN through the door.
Interestingly, a detail that was also mentioned is that as Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City’s negotiations during the Erling Haaland deal went smoothly, this is a factor that could aid the club too.
To add to that, while Real Madrid are happy to shell out a maximum of £125 million to sign Bellingham, they would ideally insert add-ons needing him to win the Champions League and the Ballon d’Or instead of just paying the fee.
With Liverpool having pulled out of the transfer race to sign Jude Bellingham and Chelsea potentially missing out on Europe as well, Manchester City seem hot favourites to land him.
Unfortunately for the currently 8th placed side in the Premier League, they will simply have to look elsewhere to bolster their midfield.
