Borussia Monchengladbach Sporting Director Max Eberl claims his Bundesliga side have not received any offers for Liverpool target Florian Neuhaus, via TuttoMercatoWEB.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich have both shown an interest in potential moves to sign the German midfielder this summer. But Eberl is adamant Neuhaus will spend at least another season at Borussia-Park, with the 24-year-old under contract until 2024.

Sport1 journalist Florian Plettenberg claims Jurgen Klopp is a massive fan of Neuhaus and wants the Monchengladbach star at Liverpool. But the German cannot sign his compatriot as the Reds currently have too many options in their engine room.

German publication Sport1 also previously reported that Klopp told Neuhaus of his desire to have the Monchengladbach midfielder at Liverpool. But Die Fohlen want €40m (£34m) for their six-cap international, who is ready to focus his mind solely on the Bundesliga side.

Adi Hutter will be delighted to have Neuhaus’ mind on the job in hand in North Rhine-Westphalia. Monchengladbach begin the season at home to defending champions Bayern Munich on Friday night. And Eberl is adamant Neuhaus will be a Gladbach player this term.

“Neuhaus will play with us [this season],” Eberl stated. “We have not received a single offer for him.”

Eberl to deny Liverpool creative Monchengladbach midfielder Neuhaus

Even should Liverpool raise the funds and clear space, Eberl will deny Klopp his chance to sign Monchengladbach midfielder Neuhaus. Well, at least this summer, offering the Reds more time to offload their deadwood if they cannot before August 31.

Reports would suggest Klopp is desperate to have Neuhaus at Anfield at some point to strengthen his Liverpool unit. The 24-year-old would be a creative addition to those already on Merseyside, after scoring eight and assisting eight last season.

He also opened 30 of 33 Bundesliga appearances, eight of eight Champions League ties, and scored on his international debut. Joachim Low debuted Neuhaus against Turkey last October, and he netted again against Denmark ahead of Euro 2020 this summer.
