Reported Liverpool target Victor Osimhen has teased that he could one day move to the Premier League days after rumours emerged linking the Napoli superstar to Manchester United.
Speaking to Corriere della Sera, the Nigerian international revealed that, whilst he is focused on winning the Scudetto with Napoli this season, it is an ambition of his to one day play in England, with Osimhen heavily linked with some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs this campaign.
Journalist Ciro Venerato recently claimed that United are leading the chase to sign Osimhen, whilst Il Mattino claim that Jurgen Klopp is also keen on the 24-year-old Napoli forward, who this year has been one of the best attackers in Europe, scoring 21 goals in all competitions.
With the likes of PSG also interested in Osimhen, it’s no surprise why transfer interest has hit a new high with the Nigerian international in recent months, even with Napoli stating that they will only let their star forward leave for around €120m (£107m).

Indeed, although the striker has always maintained that he will stay at Napoli for at least one more season, Osimhen did concede that he has an ambition to one day play in the Premier League, and this could alert the likes of Liverpool and United to some sort of action in the coming months.
Osimhen said when asked about leaving Napoli to join a Premier League side: “I think it is an ambition of all players. And who knows, one day. Right now, I assure you, it doesn’t even cross my mind. It would distract me from a beautiful season. I’m only thinking of Napoli as things stand.”
Osimhen moving to the Premier League is a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’

Osimhen has been linked with a move to England for what feels like an eternity, and for Liverpool and United, the attacker’s recent comments on moving to the Premier League seemingly indicate that the Napoli talisman will make switch sooner rather than later.
As we know, many Premier League clubs have been linked with the Nigerian international. And for Osimhen, signing for a Liverpool or a United feels like a matter of when it will happen rather than if, such is the intensity of rumours linking the forward with the English top-flight.
