Plenty of Liverpool fans wanted a striker signed this summer. The Reds are without quality in depth in the final third, they are without a natural striker. One man has been rumoured for a January move. Reported Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi lit up the Champions League this week.

Reds need a striker
As it stands Liverpool have just three fit forwards capable of filling the starting three spots in the attack. When Roberto Firmino is back there will be four.
After that there is a massive drop off in quality to Divock Origi and the curious case of Takumi Minamino.
Furthermore, none of the Reds’ options in the final third are natural strikers.
This lack of natural finishing ability through the middle explains why Liverpool have been linked with Karim Adeyemi.
Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi
Dozens of players have been touted as the Reds’ solution.
From budget buys to mega stars like Kylian Mbappe, there’s been plenty.
Transfermarkt has recently claimed Liverpool want to sign Karim Adeyemi in January.
The 19-year-old striker started the season in excellent form netting six in six for RB Salzburg before scoring on his senior debut for Germany.
Adeyemi shines in Champions League
This week the German youngster shone in European competition.
Red Bull Salzburg took on Sevilla in Spain and it was a bizarre game.
In the first half Karim Adeyemi won three penalties for his side.
The teenager was in fine fettle, electric pace on show he was constantly getting there before his opposition, nicking the ball away and being clattered to the ground.
Liverpool will surely be pleased seeing Adeyemi shine on the big stage.
Given the injury to Harvey Elliott and the approaching AFCON, the Reds simply have to move in January.
