Reported Liverpool transfer target Ferran Torres has said he believes that La Liga is the best place for him right now.
The Valencia winger is rated as one of football’s most promising players, and Sport1 reported earlier this year that Liverpool are eyeing a big move for him, with Goal reporting last month that the Reds had been in contact with the Spanish side.
Torres has a £88 million release clause in his contract, but with his deal only running until 2021, Valencia could have to cash in for far less.
Torres has given Valencia a bit of hope he could stay put, after admitting that he believes the Spanish league is the best place for players of his age.
At just 20-years-old, Torres seems very happy where he is.
He told AS: “For young people, the League is the best league there can be. It is helping me a lot and I am learning at all times.”

For a young Spanish player, in an uncertain time due to the health crisis, staying put will be very tempting.
But it will come down to money, as Valencia cannot afford to knock back a mega bid, and of course if his release clause is paid, it will accelerate his exit.
Torres would be a good signing for Liverpool, we spelled out here why he would be a better addition than Jadon Sancho.
It is Valencia though who will be most encouraged by his latest comments.
