So where could Williams go?
Leeds United and Aston Villa both wanted to sign Williams over the summer and may make sense as destinations this month.
Leeds need more depth at the back and Williams could be their right back of the future.
Villa do have Matty Cash at right back, but Williams can offer great competition under Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Liverpool will manage to bring in considerable funds for Williams, and that could help any incoming moves for Jurgen Klopp this month.
