Liverpool are currently one of the best teams in the world, but behind the scenes at Anfield, there’s a quiet youth revolution going on.
Indeed, the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones and Kaide Gordon are either already stars or on track to become Anfield stalwarts.
The future is already looking very bright on Merseyside, and if reports are to be believed, there could be more to come.
Indeed, it seems as though the Reds’ transfer policy in the coming months could centre around adding some more quality youngsters.
Karim Adeyemi has been strongly linked, as has Jude Bellingham, but, in our view, there’s another 20-year-old who Reds supporters should be even more excited about.
Indeed, according to Ian McGarry on the Transfer Window Podcast, Liverpool are interested in Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, and that could be the best youngster the Reds could move for right now.
Unlike Bellingham or Adeyemi, Saka is proven in the Premier League, and he’s blossoming into an almost unplayable winger.
He can play down the left or the right, he can play as a part of the midfield or in the front three, he’s absolutely rapid and he’s developing at a ridiculous rate.
Liverpool fans have been drooling over Belingham for months on end, but if their interest in Saka is genuine, he should be the main focus.

Yes, Bellingham is an exciting player, and he could be a star of the future, but there’s a reason Saka was a starter for England in the latter stages of Euro 2020 and Bellingham wasn’t.
As much as we’re excited by Bellingham, the fact that he’s unproven in the Premier League does have to be noted. Especially after Jadon Sancho’s incredibly slow start at Manchester United after his exploits at Borussia Dortmund – to put it bluntly, Saka is a much safer bet.
On top of that, Liverpool already have two incredible midfielders coming through in Elliott and Jones, while the future of their attack is much more uncertain as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane prepare to enter their 30s.
It will be difficult for Liverpool to land Saka, but if they can pull this one off, it would be an absolutely cracking signing.
