Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City had scouts present to watch Aurelien Tchouameni in action for AS Monaco on Friday evening, according to 90min.
90min have reported that Liverpool and Manchester City are among the clubs interested in signing Tchouameni from Monaco in the summer transfer window.
Scouts from Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona were also reportedly present at Stade Pierre-Mauroy to watch the 22-year-old France international midfielder, who is valued at £42 million by Monaco, according to French football journalist Jonathan Johnson in The Liverpool Echo.
Tchouameni scored two goals to help Monaco defeat last season’s Ligue 1 champions Lille 2-1.

Aurelien Tchouameni would make Liverpool or Manchester City better
In our opinion, Tchouameni would be a good signing for Liverpool or Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
Tchouameni is technically very good, can hold his own in the middle of the park, and has a good passing range.
The Frenchman has scored three goals and provided one assist in 31 Ligue 1 starts this season.
Described by former Tottenham Hotspur director of football Paul Mitchell in Tuttosport in December 2021 as “a complete midfielder” who is “very fast and physically strong”, Tchouameni has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in the world.
