Former Everton central defender Phil Jagielka has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:27pm, May 15, 2022) that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will miss out on the Premier League title to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City this season.
Now at Stoke City, Jagielka, who played for Everton from 2007 until 2019, believes that Manchester City will beat Liverpool to the Premier League title this campaign.
Liverpool are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 86 points from 36 matches.
City, who won the title last season, are top with 90 points from 37 games.
The Citizens will lock horns with Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium on the final day of the Premier League season.
Liverpool will take on Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium ion Tuesday and will then face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield in their final league game.

Phil Jagielka on Liverpool v Manchester City title race
Jagielka said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:27pm, May 15, 2022): “I think Man City will get it over the line.”
Exciting
In our opinion, the Premier League title race between Liverpool and Manchester City will go down to the wire.
We think that Liverpool will win against Southampton on Tuesday evening.
That will set up the final day of the campaign nicely in terms of the title race.
City clearly have the advantage, but there could be more twists and turns.
