Luis Diaz has taken to Instagram to send a message to Liverpool fans, and Everton defender Yerry Mina has liked the post made by his Colombia international teammate.
Diaz joined Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool from FC Porto in the January transfer window.
Liverpool paid an initial transfer fee of €40 million (£33.82 million) to Porto to secure the services of the 25-year-old Colombia international winger.
Diaz was on international duty with Colombia for the past few days, and he linked up with his new Liverpool teammates on Friday.
The 25-year-old has taken to Instagram to express his delight at the move to Anfield, and his Colombia international teammate Mina has liked his post, as you can see below.
Mina moved to Everton from Barcelona in the summer of 2018 for £27.2 million (Sky Sports).

Diaz wrote on Instagram, as translated from Spanish: “Today I begin to live a new chapter of that dream that all footballers have when we start in football, to dress like a great.
“And how much honour it feels to wear @liverpoolfc. Excited for what is to come, with a tremendous desire to give everything and very grateful for receiving me with such good energy. We are reds!”
Diaz added on Liverpool’s official website about the fans: “I will be really happy when that moment comes around, to be on the field and being able to play in the Champions League at such a big club against other big clubs.
“It is going to be a really proud moment for me. Being in a packed Anfield too, I have already had the chance to try it before when I came here playing for Porto against Liverpool.
“You can really feel the atmosphere of how the crowd live for the game. It is going to be, as I said, a really proud moment and a really happy one for me to experience it with the team.”
Liverpool’s Luis Diaz now a rival of Everton’s Yerry Mina
Diaz and Mina may be international teammates, but the Colombians are now rivals at club level.
Liverpool and Everton are bitter Merseyside rivals.
While Liverpool are flying high, Everton, who now have Frank Lampard as their manager, could be sucked into the Premier League relegation battle this season.
