Ian Rush has said on Twitter that he is very excited that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool signed Luis Diaz from FC Porto in the January transfer window.
The Liverpool legend has said on the social networking site that he cannot wait to see Diaz in action for the Reds at Anfield.
Liverpool paid an initial transfer fee of €40 million (£33.82 million) to Porto to secure the services of the 25-year-old Colombia international winger.
Rush wrote on Twitter: “I’m very excited about the arrival of Luis Diaz to Liverpool and can’t wait to see him in action at Anfield.”
Luis Diaz will make Liverpool better
In our view, Diaz will make Liverpool a better and more competitive team, especially in attack.
Yes, we know that Liverpool have one of the best and most attacking units in the world.
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota are superb attacking players.

But, every team needs to evolve, and there is always room in any squad for more quality players.
Diaz is a very good winger who scores goals and creates chances.
And, in our view, the Colombia international winger will make Liverpool better and will give manager Klopp another good option in attack.
Diaz scored 14 goals and gave four assists in 18 league games and scored two goals in six Champions League matches for Porto this season before his move to Liverpool.
