Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told BBC Sport that Luis Diaz is a very easy player to coach.

Klopp has said that Diaz is naturally very gifted, and that the Liverpool winger does not need any coaching.

The German made the comments about the Colombia international after the match against West Ham United at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Klopp said about Diaz: “He is a top player – a most easy player to coach because all the things he is doing are pretty natural to him.

“There is not a lot of coaching necessary. Of course he needs to work on one or two things we do defensively, but he is very football smart, has a big heart and wants to fight extremely hard for the team.”

Huge praise

In our view, Klopp’s aforementioned comments about Diaz show just how highly he rates the Liverpool winger.

It is not every day that a world-class manager such as Klopp comes out and says in public that one of his players is so good that he does not need coaching.

Diaz moved to Liverpool from FC Porto in the January transfer window and has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.

The winger is starting games on a regular basis, and the fans are clearly excited.

We must not forget that Diaz is only 25.

This means that the winger can only get better.

Working with Klopp and training with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will only help Diaz get better and further develop his game.
