Pundit Garth Crooks has raved about the performance of Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate after his performance against Manchester United.
The Reds went over to Old Trafford and completely dismantled their bitter rivals with a stunning performance.
Naby Keita and Diogo Jota had Liverpool 2-0 up before Mohamed Salah added a hat-trick to seal a 5-0 win.
Liverpool look unstoppable right now, and Jurgen Klopp was able to claim this win even after taking something of a gamble.
Joel Matip has excelled this season but Klopp went with summer signing Konate alongside Virgil van Dijk.
This was just Konate’s second Premier League start, but is worked perfectly for Liverpool as they nullified United.
Crooks hails Liverpool defender Konate
Konate had a number of occasions to show his superb pace, which Liverpool fans really loved.
The summer signing from RB Leipzig has now been praised by BBC pundit Garth Crooks, who thinks Konate fits Liverpool ‘like a glove’.

Crooks added that Konate seems to be ‘another extremely astute’ signing by Klopp alongside Naby Keita.
Keita has been at Liverpool for more than three years now, but also joined from RB Leipzig, where they were schooled to play a similar style to Klopp’s approach.
“The French centre-back – signed in the summer from RB Leipzig – is the latest addition to this Liverpool team and fits like a glove,” said Crooks.
“No frills or skills but he does use his power and strength to maximum effect. This wasn’t Chelsea versus Norwich but Manchester United against Liverpool and Mason Greenwood, Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford hardly had a kick. Like Naby Keita, Jurgen Klopp seems to have made another extremely astute purchase in Konate,” he added.
