Liverpool winger Harvey Elliott will start training with the team in January, according to The Athletic.

Harvey Elliott injury update

Elliott is on the sidelines at the moment due to a long-term injury he suffered while playing for Liverpool against Leeds United at Elland Road in September.

The 18-year-old, who was playing as a midfielder this season before his injury, suffered a bad ankle injury.

The Athletic have now reported that Elliott will be team training again in January.

The report has also claimed that goalkeeper Adrian will be back in action after Christmas.

Boost for Liverpool

In our opinion, Elliott potentially training with the rest of the Liverpool players in January is very positive.

Liverpool are doing well at the moment, but manager Jurgen Klopp will surely want more options in the final months and weeks of the season.

Now, of course, the teenager will not hit the ground running after spending so long on the sidelines.

Even then, having a player like Elliott on the bench for the final weeks of the season will surely enhance Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League title.
