Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for former Manchester United forward Memphis Depay.

According to L’Equipe, Liverpool are looking at signing Depay from Lyon in the summer transfer window (click here to read more).

It has been reported by the French publication that the Reds have identified the 25-year-old forward as a potential replacement for Sadio Mane should the 26-year-old Senegal international winger join Spanish and European giants Real Madrid in the summer.

The 25-year-old Netherlands international is a former Manchester United player, having been on the books of the Red Devils from the summer of 2015 until January 2017.

The former PSV Eindhoven star struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford, but the attacker has done well at Lyon so far.

So far this season, Depay has made 23 starts and six substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Lyon, scoring six goals and providing eight assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
