Liverpool fans are not keen on Steven Gerrard heading to Rangers.

Is Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard heading to Ibrox to manage Rangers?

Bookies SkyBet have Gerrard as the current odds on favourite to replace Graeme Murty in Glasgow.

Shortly after, the Scottish Sun reported Gerrard is in talks with Rangers.

Gerrard is a management novice, having started his coaching career with Liverpool’s under-18 side last year.

He is making good early progress with a very talented group of players, but making the leap to manage Rangers is an entirely new proposition.

Liverpool supporters are not so keen on the idea, believing it would be a big risk for Gerrard at this early stage of his career.

Leading Rangers is one of the toughest management jobs around, with Celtic a dominant force north of the border.

It would certainly be interesting for Gerrard to go up against his former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, while his appointment would draw plenty of publicity for the Light Blues.

Rangers fans were not convinced a deal was at all likely earlier this week when it was first suggested.
