What’s the story?
Paris Saint-Germain striker Mbappe has long been linked with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Journalists Duncan Castles and Ian McGarry both have said on the Transfer Window Podcast that Liverpool are interested in the striker, who himself is open to a move to the Reds.
Marca are now reporting that Liverpool have actually enquired about the 22-year-old striker.
The Spanish news publication reported yesterday evening that the former Premier League champions have enquired about the availability of the France international striker.
Real Madrid are also reported to be keen on the 2018 World Cup winner.
What are Liverpool fans saying?
Mbappe is one of the best players in the world and is only just 22 years of age.
The France international is out of contract at PSG at the end of next season.
PSG are not going to sell Mbappe now, unless, of course, they receive an offer that they simply cannot turn down.
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool owners FSG and John W. Henry decide to make an offer.
