Well, it would appear Liverpool are back in for Randal Kolo Muani.

That’s according to FootMercato on Thursday – covered by HITC Sport – as the French publication reported that Jurgen Klopp is interested in bringing the France international to Anfield.

The same report adds that Muani could carry with him a £69 million price-tag and time will tell if Liverpool are prepared to spend on a premium on a player with zero Premier League experience.

The Eintracht Frankfurt hitman has netted eight goals across all competitions for the German outfit this season.

He certainly seems a promising striker and another interesting thing about the 24-year-old is where he comes from.

According to Bundesliga.com, Congo-born Muani grew up in a small town named Bondy, a suburb of Paris.

And interestingly, it is the same place where Kylian Mbappe – another player linked to Liverpool – is from.

There’s no denying that Mbappe is, at the moment, overshadowing Muani when it comes to Bondy’s finest exports.

But bear in mind that the latter is improving all the time and although he’ll probably never reach Mbappe’s level, there is also no doubting that Muani himself is a player very much on the rise.

Going forward, Liverpool are going to need another number nine to compete with Darwin Nunez through the middle and it’ll be fascinating to see whether the Bondy-raised marksman is a genuine target.
