Club chairman Tom Werner told The Boston Globe that Liverpool are open to a full sale.
Recent reports have speculated about the potential sale
Recently, David Ornstein told Rousing The Kop that Jurgen Klopp has been assured by Fenway Sports Group that the club will not be immediately sold.
Instead, the decision will only be taken if FSG approve of the interested party, as their intention is not to sell the Reds to just any buyer that comes along.
Billionaire Mukesh Ambani of Reliance fame was also linked with buying the Merseyside-based outfit by the Mirror.
However, ABP News have since reported that such claims are far from the truth about the Indian entrepreneur, who currently owns the Indian Premier League’s most successful-ever cricket team in Mumbai Indians.
Steve Pagluica, the owner of the Boston Celtics was also claimed to be a potential bidder by The Athletic, as per a recent report.
It seems like a number of top businessmen are fascinated by the prospect of running the ship at Liverpool, but for the time being, a sale is anything but imminent.
The Liverpool chairman’s stance
Speaking to The Boston Globe, a publication owned by none other than John W. Henry, Tom Werner confirmed that the club is for sale.

“We’re exploring a sale but there’s no urgency, no time frame for us and as far as I’m concerned, it’s business as usual.”
“One outcome could be our continued stewardship for quite a while.”
Considering the Anfield faithful have been dismayed by FSG’s ownership since they first took charge, this update will prove to be a positive one amongst the club’s fanbase.
