Liverpool 3-2 AC Milan

Oh what a night.

The Champions League is about heavyweights facing each other and producing epic games of football. That is what we got on Wednesday night.

The Reds went ahead early on thanks to a Fikayo Tomori own goal.

Mo Salah missed a penalty moments later, his first miss from the spot in some time.

Jürgen Klopp’s side continued to dominate but it was Milan who went in ahead at halftime.

The visitors snatched two goals just before the whistle.

Immediately after the restart the hosts were back in the game with Mo Salah converting a delicious through ball from Divock Origi.

Jordan Henderson then netted the winning goal v AC Milan.

What a hit son, what a hit.

The ball fell to the edge of the box from a corner and the skipper only had one thing on his mind: hit it.

Jordan Henderson bagged a goal against AC Milan well deserving of Steven Gerrard comparisons.

The skipper belted the ball into the bottom corner, not giving the goalkeeper a chance.

Given the gravity of the game, the fact that the Reds had been behind at halftime, it was a proper Gerrard moment.

The Hendo goal against Milan will be remembered forever.

Whilst it wasn’t in a final or even the final game of the group it was a special strike because he doesn’t score often but he has shown that he can when the Kop needs him to most.
