Michael Brown has praised Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson on BBC Radio 5 Live (3:58pm, February 13, 2022) for his performance against Burnley at Turf moor on Sunday afternoon.

The former Manchester City midfielder believes that Alisson was excellent between the posts for Liverpool in their 1-0 in the Premier League game.

The BBC Sport pundit has noted that the 29-year-old Brazil international goalkeeper picked up a knock early on, but he recovered from it and did well.

Defensive midfielder Fabinho scored the only goal of the match in the 40th minute.

Brown said about Alisson on BBC Radio 5 Live (3:58pm, February 13, 2022): “He took a knock very early from a set-piece, and you are thinking, ‘Will he have a wobble? Will he be here for his team today?’ But he was excellent.”

How did Alisson play for Liverpool v Burnley?

In our view, Alisson played well for Liverpool and was arguably the best player on the pitch.

The Liverpool goalkeeper made two excellent saves in the first half and played his sweeper-keeper role brilliantly.

Alisson was busier than he would have expected, but the former AS Roma star rose to the occasion.

The win against Burnley means that Liverpool are nine points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City in second place in the Premier League at the moment.

Liverpool have a game in hand, which means that the Reds are certainly in the race for the Premier League title race.
