Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Paulo Dybala, linked with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, in the summer of 2022 if Roberto Firmino leaves, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

TuttoMercatoWeb have reported that Klopp’s Liverpool and Inter Milan are keen on securing the services of Dybala in the summer of 2022.

The Argentina international, who can play as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, is out of contract at Juventus at the end of the season and will become a free agent.

Liverpool are reportedly following Dybala closely and could move for him if Brazil international forward Firmino – who cost the Reds £29 million (BBC Sport) – leaves in the summer of 2022.

Interestingly, Dybala has been linked with Arsenal among other clubs.

90min reported this week that Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal all have been offered the chance to speak to Dybala,

Liverpool over Arsenal for Paulo Dybala

In our view, Liverpool would have the advantage over Arsenal for Dybala.

Yes, Arsenal are a big club and are a global brand.

And yes, the Gunners could finish in the Premier League top four and get back in the Champions League.

However, Liverpool are in a better position to win major trophies.

The Reds have won the Premier League snd the Champions League in recent seasons under Klopp.

Liverpool also play better football than Arsenal, and playing alongside the likes of Mohamed Salah and Said Mane could appeal to Dybala.
