To the joy of many, the summer transfer window is finally closed, and many Premier League sides can feel happy with some of the signings they have made in the off-season.

From Nottingham Forest signing everyone who had a good enough pulse to Leicester City bringing in just one new player, the transfer window had it all, yet a few sides managed to end the summer market with some bargain purchases.

Whilst the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United spent huge sums on players who have transformed their club for the better, this feature will not be looking at the Gabriel Jesus’ and the Lisandro Martinez’s of the window.

Instead, HITC Sport will be presenting the best bargain XI from the summer transfer window, with some Premier League sides landing full international’s and potential superstars in the making for absolute pennies.

Not many fans and pundits would have tipped Fulham to have such a strong start to the season, yet credit has to be given to Marco Silva and the club’s transfer policy that was somehow able to sign Bernd Leno and Kevin Mbabu for a combined fee of just over £7m.

The pair have revolutionised Fulham’s backline, as has Kalidou Koulibaly, who despite being the most expensive player on this list will no doubt be a contender for signing of the season come the end of the campaign, such is the quality of the world-class former Napoli titan.

Rounding off the defence is Manchester United’s first signing of the window in Netherlands’ international Tyrell Malacia, who has comfortably taken the left-back spot for his own under Erik Ten Hag, with £10m West Ham arrival Thilo Kehrer also quite the bargain for David Moyes.

Leeds United had the mammoth task of replacing Kalvin Phillips this summer after the midfielder’s £45m move to Manchester City, however, Jesse Marsch has seemingly managed just that with the signing of American international Tyler Adams.

The former RB Leipzig dynamo has been a sensation at Elland Road, with Romeo Lavia having a similar impact at Southampton following his departure from City, so much so that the Belgian youngster was reportedly subject to a £50m proposal from Chelsea just weeks after signing for the Saints.

James Garner edges into the midfield after the England youth international’s late move to Everton, with Manchester United letting their 21-year-old playmaker leave for as little as £9m, a fee that Frank Lampard could potentially increase tenfold in the coming years.

Aubameyang leads the line as Liverpool wonderkid Carvalho starts out wide

As with Koulibaly, Chelsea landed a bargain with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who at £10m has the potential to break the Blues’ No. 9 curse as the former Arsenal superstar and captain looks to lead Thomas Tuchel’s west London side to glory this season.

Out in the right-wing, whilst not a natural in the position, is Liverpool’s latest English wonderkid Fabio Carvalho, who has already stolen headlines this season for his last-gasp winner against Newcastle United and looks set to be part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans for well over a decade.

To wrap up the attacking line, Brentford’s move for Denmark international Mikkel Damsgaard slipped heavily under the radar, yet for just £13.5m, the Bees have secured potentially one of the deals of the summer, with the youngster a shoo-in for a major move in the years to come.
