Everton have tied up three signings this week, but Rafael Benitez wants another in the form of Manchester United playmaker Jesse Lingard.
The Toffees have added Asmir Begovic as a backup goalkeeper behind Jordan Pickford whilst wingers Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray have joined too.
Everton need more signings to help new boss Benitez though, and another playmaker may end up being an absolute must for the Toffees.
With that in mind, The Sun report that Everton have joined the race to sign Manchester United ace Lingard, whose future is unclear.
Lingard hit nine goals and four assists in 16 games on loan at West Ham United last season, and is now back with the Red Devils for pre-season.
West Ham want him back and United are seemingly unclear on their plans for Lingard, with Everton now joining the race for his signature.

A deal won’t be easy, but Lingard could be tempted into staying in the North West if Everton do make their move to sign him this summer.
Everton fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, with some believing that Lingard would walk into the Everton side right now.
Others aren’t sure a deal will happen, but would be prepared to give Lingard a shot at Goodison Park having impressed so much on loan at West Ham.
