Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer were full of praise for reported Arsenal target Youri Tielemans last night after the Leicester City star’s thunderous goal for the Foxes against Everton.

Taking to Twitter, Match of the Day pundits Lineker and Shearer were both blown away by the Belgian’s incredible strike against the Toffees as Brendan Rodgers’ side secured a huge three points at Goodison Park, with Leicester 2-0 winners against Everton in part to Tielemans’ fantastic goal.

Tielemans has been key to Leicester’s impressive run of form in the league, with the 2016 Premier League champions winning three of their last five matches as the 25-year-old has hit form at the right time, with the midfielder’s goal against Everton this weekend arguably his highlight of the season so far.

A superb half-volley was no match for Jordan Pickford as Tielemans claimed the three points for the visiting side, and for Arsenal, the moment will be another stark reminder for the Gunners to potentially move for the former AS Monaco star in January.

The Mirror have recently reported that Mikel Arteta’s side are still favourites to sign Tielemans, with the Leicester star believed to be valued at £25m. And after the midfielder’s latest wonderstrike in the Premier League, the Belgian talisman is becoming a more tantalising option for the north London side ahead of the winter transfer window.

Midfield is quickly becoming a key area for Arsenal to strengthen in during the January market, and Tielemans’ latest exploits will make it hard for Arteta and Edu Gaspar to not move for the Premier League superstar, who would be perfect for the Gunners as depth in the position.

Indeed, Tielemans’ strike against Everton is already a contender for the Goal of the Season award, and with Arsenal looking for more quality in the midfield, the Leicester maestro is simply becoming too good an option for the Gunners to avoid in January.
