Why does Leandro Trossard have grey hair? Many Arsenal fans have asked about this and also the reason behind their No.19’s celebration.
The Belgium international joined the Gunners in a £27m move from Brighton during the January transfer window, with plenty of supporters asking about the silver streak in his quiff after the deal went through.
Trossard also had many wondering about his celebration after scoring his first goal for Arsenal in the 1-1 draw against Brentford at the Emirates Stadium.
So, why does Trossard have grey hair? And what is the reason behind his celebration? Let’s take a look…
Why does Trossard have grey hair?
Well, the 28-year-old has never actually explained the bit of grey in his hair, although the most likely reason for it is a condition called Poliosis.

It is not a harmful thing whatsoever. Poliosis is simply when somebody is lacking, or has a complete absence of, any melanin in the hair follicles on their head, eyebrows or eyelashes.
It is often known as white forelock when it affects the hair directly above someone’s forehead, which is where Trossard has his grey streak.
Trossard celebration
This one is a bit more set in stone, as Trossard has actually spoken about the reason for his celebration.
Arsenal fans will have seen the Belgian cup his hands around his eyes after scoring the opener against Brentford on Saturday 11th February.
Speaking about the reason behind his celebration, Trossard is quoted by Football London as saying: “It all started a bit more than a year ago, when I asked my son what celebration I would do. He told me to do that celebration, I think he’d seen it on YouTube with a superhero. At that moment, I said okay, I will do it.
“Now it’s a little thing between us. If I score, I do the celebration. I come home, he sees me and runs up to me and does the same thing. It’s a nice little thing between us and I’m enjoying it.”
