Some Liverpool fans on social media are over the moon after it was reported that the Reds are planning talks with Donyell Malen.
Malen has been a star in the Eredivisie this season for PSV, and it’s no surprise to hear that he’s attracting interest from a club like Liverpool.
As you can imagine, Reds supporters were buzzing to hear that they want a player like Malen, and we can absolutely understand why.
The Dutchman scored 19 goals last season in the league, and with the Reds needing a new number nine, Malen could be just what the doctor ordered.
So, what type of player is Malen? Well one Liverpool fan compared him to a young Michael Owen, and it has to be said that they share one key attribute – pace.
Indeed, one thing that stands out when you watch Malen is that he’s absolutely rapid, and when you combine that with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane’s speed, you could have a frightening front three.
