What’s the story?
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly looking at Malen as a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United are leading the race for the England international winger.
Now, Dortmund will need a replacement for Sancho if he leaves.
So, the German club have decided to look at PSV youngster Malen.
However, Liverpool are also interested in the 22-year-old Netherlands international, who is at the Euro 2020 finals at the moment.
The report claims that the former Premier League champions plan to hold talks regarding signing him, as forward Mohamed Salah could leave.
What would Malen bring to Liverpool?
Malen was at Arsenal from 2015 until 2017.
The 22-year-old failed to break into the Arsenal first team.
The youngster has now become a much better player and is a goal machine.
Malen scored 19 goals and gave eight assists in 32 Eredivisie games for PSV this past season.
The Netherlands international also scored five goals in eight Europa League matches this past campaign.

The youngster was deployed as a centre-forward in those matches.
Malen is also able to play out wide.
If Salah leaves, then Malen could simply take his place in the Liverpool team, especially as he is a goalscoring machine.
