
Chelsea fans don’t believe that Tottenham seemingly ended their interest in Antonio Conte, as some think it was the other way around.
It has been nearly two months since Tottenham sacked Jose Mourinho from his managerial post, with no real sign that a new face was going to come in up until recently.
Many Spurs fans thought that they were going to land the high-demanding talents of ex-Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte.
Some even reported that when Conte was going to arrive, he was going to hand potential opportunities to the likes of Oliver Skipp and Ryan Sessegnon.
Then the dreaded news arrived for those in Tottenham colours, with Sky Sports reporting that Spurs had called off plans to appoint the Italian because of his reluctance to work with their young and promising players.
Whilst one side of London in Chelsea lifts the European Cup, another side in West Ham prepare plans for a Europa League push, the other side is just engulfed in a fire of abject mediocrity.
This isn’t a time for either Tottenham or Arsenal fans to brag because they are pretty much out-doing each other in the embarrassment stakes.
It’s pleasing Chelsea supporters because they are champions of Europe, as many of them will also be glad that their one-time title-winning manager won’t be donning the colours of Spurs.
It will be interesting to see what move Daniel Levy makes now because, at this moment in time, even Spurs fans will agree that he is making a shambolic mess of it all.
