Sky Sports and The London Evening Standard are among the media outlets reporting that Spurs have decided to call off plans to appoint Conte as their new manager.

Conte reportedly had major doubts about becoming Tottenham’s new head coach.

The former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager is not convinced that Spurs are ready to win major trophies immediately.

It is also being reported that Tottenham did not actually make an offer to Conte.

Spurs reportedly have concerns over some of the Italian’s demands, including his ‘perceived reluctance’ to work with young players.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has also shed light on the matter on his Twitter account.

This latest development means that Tottenham will have to continue their search for a permanent manager.

Jose Mourinho was sacked as the Spurs head coach just days before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
