Taiwo Awoniyi has expressed his delight at Arnaut Danjuma securing a January move from Villarreal to Tottenham Hotspur, as he posted on the winger’s Instagram account.
The Nottingham Forest striker posted ‘let’s go’ in the comments section of Danjuma’s IG post, after an eventful few days for the 25-year-old.
Those at Everton are still probably shaking their heads at this six-month loan move because, only 48 hours ago, he was doing media duties with the Toffees and just inches away from finalising a move to Merseyside.

But along came Tottenham in the 11th hour to nab Danjuma away from the relegation-threatened side and leave those on Merseyside seething at the player’s actions.
At the end of the day, it’s not signed sealed and delivered until you put ink to paper, so from that perspective, Danjuma and Spurs had every right to push through this deal, even if Everton might feel disrespected.
Nonetheless, Awoniyi, who played alongside Danjuma during their days at Dutch side NEC Nijmegen, posted in the comments section of his IG post ‘My bro, let’s go’ added with fire emojis.
HOW DOES DANJUMA FIT IN?
The Netherlands international has the ability to play on either flank and he has the next six months to convince Spurs to make this loan deal permanent.
He just needs to take a look at Rodrigo Bentancur, but most importantly, Dejan Kulusevski, and how those two impacted Tottenham following their January moves.
If Danjuma can have a similar impact, then it will bode well for the north London side, who are in a real fight to secure Champions League football this season.
