Don Hutchison has claimed on Twitter that he told West Ham United to sign Leon Bailey, who is on the verge of joining Dean Smith’s Aston Villa.
Former West Ham star Hutchison, who now works as a pundit for ESPN, has claimed that he told the Hammers three years ago to sign Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen.
Villa announced over the weekend that they have reached an agreement with German club Bayer for the transfer of the Jamaica international winger.
The Daily Mail reported today that the 23-year-old underwent a medical in Miami on Sunday evening and will compete his move to the Villans this week.
Will West Ham regret not signing Leon Bailey?
Bailey has done well for Bayer over the years and has already earned a lot of experience.
According to BBC Sport, the winger has scored 28 goals in 119 Bundesliga appearances for the German club.

It will be interesting to see how Bailey does for Villa in the Premier League.
Given that the Jamaican is only 23, there is very reason to believe that he will get better in the coming years.
West Ham could end up regretting not signing Bailey, but the Hammers will get a better idea depending on how he fares in the Premier League for Villa.
