According to The Daily Mail, Leon Bailey has completed a medical and will now join Dean Smith’s Aston Villa.
What’s the story?
The Daily Mail are reporting today that Bailey underwent a medical in Miami on Sunday evening and will finalise his transfer to Villa later this week.
The Villans will pay Bayer Leverkusen £30 million in transfer fee for the Jamaica international winger.
Bailey has been playing for Jamaica at the Gold Cup, which is why he underwent a medical in Florida.
Aston Villa transfer imminent
Villa announced on their official website over the weekend that they have reached an agreement with Bayer over the transfer of Bailey.
The Premier League club said that the transfer was subject to the winger ‘completing a medical and finalising personal terms’.
Until and unless a player has agreed personal terms, has successfully undergone a medical and has signed on the dotted line, you can never be certain.
It seems that personal terms have now been agreed between Villa and Bailey, and with the medical completed, the Villans are likely to make an announcement soon.

Would Leon Bailey make Aston Villa better?
Bailey is a very good winger who is still only 23 and can get better.
The Jamaica international has made over 100 appearances in the Bundesliga and is very experienced.
The youngster scored nine goals and gave eight assists in the Bundesliga last season.
Although a winger by trade, Bailey can also operate as a forward or in a central attacking midfield role.
