- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Sources have confirmed to HITC that Leicester City are closing in on another summer addition to their squad.
Steve Cooper took the reins at Leicester City after former manager Enzo Maresca, who guided the Foxes back to the Premier League, departed the King Power Stadium to Chelsea and the Blues look like an exciting prospect this season.
As for Cooper’s Leicester, the Foxes have lost Kiernan Dewsbury Hall to Chelsea with the Blues shelling out around £30 million to land the English midfielder.
Oliver Skipp from Tottenham has been Leicester’s big money signing, with Issahaku Fatawu and Caleb Okoli among the other signings. Now, HITC understands Leicester are closing in on another addition to their squad this summer.

Leicester agree deal for Bilal El Khannouss
Sources have confirmed to HITC that Leicester have agreed terms with Genk to land 20-year-old Bilal El Khannouss.
Genk were keen to keep El Khannouss but the player made it clear he wanted the chance to move to England.
We reported last week that Leicester were in talks with Genk over a deal for El Khannouss Now, following further talks with the Belgian side, HITC understands that terms have been agreed between the two sides for the Moroccan to move to the King Power Stadium this summer.
The Belgium-born El Khannouss has already earned 14 caps for Morocco at the age of just 20.
He was part of the Atlas Lions squad which secured the Under 23 African Cup of Nations and also featured in Paris during the Olympic games.
Bilal El Khannouss compared to Real Madrid’s Luka Modric
El Khannouss has even been compared to Real Madrid icon Luka Modric due to his playstyle and Leicester could be getting a gem if the deal does get ratified.
“For me, he is the player in the Belgian league who will have the greatest career,” reporter Filip Joos told the 90Minutes podcast on Sporza. “I don’t see anyone else better than him.
“(El Khannouss) reminds me most of Modric. That does not mean that he will reach that level. (The comparisons are) purely in terms of their styles.”
Last season, the 20-year-old midfielder made 51 appearances in all competitions and scored three times and provided eight assists for the Belgian side.
