Curtis Jones has labelled Divock Origi a ‘legend’ on Twitter, as the striker is set for an emotional exit from Liverpool.

The 27-year-old’s contract at Liverpool expires in June and that’s when he will leave Merseyside for the final time.

It’s a shame that the big-game striker was injured for the final few weeks of the season because it meant that he missed their Premier League finale against Wolves.

But, most importantly, he wasn’t available for Jurgen Klopp, as the Reds suffered Champions League final heartache once again at the hands of Real Madrid.

Nonetheless, after Liverpool’s double domestic trophy parade yesterday, Jones posted the following message on Twitter about Origi.

ORIGI’S BIG-GAME MOMENTS WILL BE MISSED

Origi didn’t play the volume of games like a Sadio Mane or Mo Salah, nor did he have the impact of those two players.

But the Belgian still produced special moments that will be written long into the club’s history.

From his goals in Merseyside derby games to scoring in the Champions League final, it’s moments that he and the fans will never forget.

But, with one Liverpool attacker set to leave, those at Anfield will be hoping that Mane doesn’t follow suit.
