Leeds United signed Pawel Cibicki in the summer just a few months after Ajax were linked with the striker, and now, the same two clubs reportedly have another mutual target.

Though Pawel Cibicki has not really made an impact following his summer switch to Leeds, there appears to be plenty of belief that the Swede could become a great signing for the Whites in the future.
The 23-year-old was tracked by Manchester United and Ajax just months before he ultimately moved to Elland Road, according to the Daily Mirror, so it seems that Leeds may have pulled off a coup bringing him to the Championship for £1.6 million (via transfermarkt).

And the fact that they landed the forward amid links with the Dutch giants should undoubtedly give them plenty of belief as they pursue one of their latest targets.

HITC Sport reported back in May that the Whites were not the only side interested in the 19-year-old prospect, with Hoffenheim, Sassuolo and Ajax also keen on landing his signature.
Given the calibre of sides also interested in Halme, Leeds may appear to be the underdogs to win the race to land him, but perhaps the signing of Cibicki will give Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta plenty of hope.
Even if Cibicki was not attracting Ajax’s attention at the time Leeds moved for him, he could have turned down a move to Elland Road in the hope that the Eredivisie side would make a bid in the future if that was the move he desired.
So perhaps Leeds should be confident that, despite the number of top flight sides credited with having an interest in the centre-back, they can repeat the trick they pulled off when they landed Cibicki by convincing another extremely bright prospect to come to Yorkshire.
