Bielsa has been the management who spotted Davis’s talents, and the youngster has now played a handful of first-team games for Leeds.
Davis has only started in the Carabao Cup so far this season, with his one appearance in the Championship being from the bench.
However, the 19-year-old put in a very impressive display in Leeds’ last outing against Stoke City.
Davis was a constant threat down the left-hand side, with some Leeds fans suggesting that he looked even more dangerous than Barry Douglas, as HITC reported.
And when asked whether Davis could break into his first-choice starting team, Bielsa offered the youngster a lot of encouragement.
“Of course he can [make the league squad],” Bielsa said.
“He was one of the players that had a positive performance in that game. He didn’t make the mistakes he made in previous games. He made corrections.”
Bielsa has already shown that he has a lot of faith in Leeds’ youngsters, but Davis may need a for more excellent showings before he breaks into Leeds’s team for good.
The Whites have begun the campaign impressively in the Championship, and Bielsa is not a manager who enjoys making wholesale changes.
Leeds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Swansea City.
