Leeds United target Cyle Larin spoke about Europe move in January

Leeds United have been linked with a move for Orlando City striker Cyle Larin in the January transfer window.

According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 58, September 10, 2017), Leeds United are interested in signing Cyle Larin from Orlando City in the January transfer window (click here to read more).

Larin is one of the best young strikers in Major League Soccer, and despite being only 22 years of age, he is already the top scorer in Orlando’s history.

The Canada international’s rise to stardom has been meteoric, and it is not hard to understand why Leeds are (reportedly) interested in the youngster, who is claimed to be valued by Orlando at £2 million.

Back in January 2017, Larin revealed his desire to move to Europe and said that he was ready at the time.

In an interview with ESPN in which he also praised his Orlando teammate and Brazil international attacking midfielder Kaka, the 22-year-old said when asked if he was ready to play in Europe: “I think I am, I think I am. I think Europe would be nice to go there and play, but right now I am happy at Orlando.”

Larin’s comments should be hugely encouraging to Leeds, as they underline his confidence and desire to play in Europe.

If the youngster was ready to play in Europe in January 2017, he will be more than ready to play for Championship club Leeds during the second half of the 2017-18 season should he make move the move to Elland Road in the January transfer window.
