Manchester United do not plan to let Daniel James leave amid interest from Leeds United, according to The Sun.
What’s the story?
The Sun are reporting tonight (10pm) that Leeds are interested in signing James from Premier League rivals United.
Brighton and Hove Albion are also keen on the former Swansea City winger.
Both Leeds and Brighton are open to a loan deal or signing the 23-year-old on a permanent contract.
However, the Red Devils do not want to sell James despite signing fellow winger Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The former Premier League champions could even hand the youngster a new contract to keep him happy as a squad player at the club.

Blow for Leeds United
United’s reported stance will be a blow for Leeds, if indeed they are keen on James.
The winger is a very good young player who is reportedly rated very highly by Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa.

James is likely to struggle for playing time at United next season, especially with Sancho having been signed.
However, the transfer window is still open for a few more weeks.
Anything is possible when the window is open.
Perhaps James himself will want to leave United for regular playing time, and that will open the door for Leeds to make their move.
