Leeds United are said to be monitoring the Brentford midfielder’s situation.

The reported Leeds United target Lewis Macleod is still in talks with Brentford regarding a new contract, according to his manager.
The Scottish Sun reported on Wednesday that Leeds are monitoring Macleod’s situation after ‘turning down’ Brentford’s offer – noting too that Glasgow Rangers are also ‘linked with a move’ for their former midfielder.
But when asked if negotiations have indeed now ceased, Thomas Frank told the Bees United Facebook page on Thursday: “I think – I know the club and him are negotiating about a new contract. Then we need to see what is happening.
“Just wait for that.”

Macleod is in the final year of his deal at Brentford and will leave for nothing next summer if agreement cannot be reached, something that could leave the Bees open to January offers.
A move to Leeds would likely appeal to Macleod, especially if the Whites can maintain their push for the Championship‘s automatic promotion places.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side currently sit second in the standings, two points adrift of league leaders Sheffield United.

Brentford are reported to have paid £850,000 to prise Macleod from Rangers in January 2015, but have been without the former Scotland Under-21 international for much of his Bees career through injury.
Would Macleod be a good addition for Leeds?
