Leeds United will have to pay more than £10 million to sign Rangers winger Ryan Kent, according to The Times.

It has been reported that Leeds – who will feature in the Premier League next season after clinching automatic promotion from the Championship – have made an approach for Kent and have offered £10 million in transfer fees for the former Liverpool winger.

However, according to the report, the West Yorkshire outfit’s offer of £10 million is ‘considerably less’ than how much Ranges value the 23-year-old winger at.

Rangers spell

Kent spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Rangers from Premier League giants Liverpool.

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, the 23-year-old scored six goals and provided six assists in 27 Scottish Premiership games for the Gers in 2018-19, and he also played thrice in the Europa League.

As reported by BBC Sport, the Ibrox club paid Liverpool an initial transfer fee of £6.5 million to secure the services of the winger, described by former Rangers striker Krid Boyd as a player who is “exciting to watch” and “gets people on the edge of their seats” on Sky Sports Football (7:35pm, December 4, 2019) (click here to read more).

The Englishman scored seven goals in 21 Scottish Premiership matches, and scored one goal and provided two assists in eight Europa League games for Rangers last season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Kent has scored two goals in four Scottish Premiership matches for Steven Gerrard’s side so far this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
