Leeds United are reportedly keen on a fullback addition to add to Daniel Farke’s squad as they aim to return to the Premier League.
After losing 1-0 in the play-off final to Southampton at Wembley Stadium, Leeds United have been busy in the summer transfer market as Daniel Farke’s side aim to return to the Premier League.
Archie Gray moved to Tottenham Hotspur and the Yorkshire club have spent some serious money on additions to try and return to England’s top division.
Leeds completed the signing of former Manchester United winger Largie Ramazani and The Whites also brought in Tottenham’s Joe Rodon. With less than 48 hours before the window closes, the Yorkshire club may not be done there.

Leeds keen on Isaac Schmidt deal
Leeds are very interested in St. Gallen full-back Isaac Schmidt and are willing to pay to secure his signature.
That’s according to Blick, who reports that a departure is not out of the question for the 24-year-old full-back and the Yorkshire club are indeed keen on the defender.
The newspaper reports that Schmidt is high on Leeds’ shopping list at the end of the transfer window, and they are prepared to pay around €1m to secure his signature.
Interestingly, Blick likens Schmidt’s potential move to Yorkshire to former Leeds man Ezgjan Alioski. He made a similar move from Lugano to Leeds and stayed at Elland Road for four years. Willy Gnonto also swapped Switzerland for Leeds in September 2022.
The Yorkshire club have started the season in decent form with five points from a possible nine available.
Leeds’ potential signing Isaac Schmidt profiled
Little is known about the full-back but he prefers to play from the left, which may be a risk for Leeds with the club already having Sam Byram and Junior Firpo in that role.
Last season for Swiss side FC St Gallen, the Swiss defender made 34 appearances in the Swiss League and scored twice for the club.
Schmidt is known for his speed and his stamina and he certainly would represent an interesting option if the Yorkshire side did push ahead with a deal.
Mike McGrath, who posted on X, claims that Leeds are closing in on a deal for Schmidt who has a Europa Conference League play-off tonight.
