Leeds United were beaten 2-0 by Cardiff City at Elland Road yesterday.
Garry Monk has told Radio Yorkshire that he felt Alfonso Pedraza did well on his home debut for Leeds United.
Monk is never a manager to single players out for lavish praise, and generally focusses on praising the whole team in his public interviews.

But when asked whether Pedraza impressed him during Leeds’ defeat against Cardiff City yesterday, he said:”I thought he did well.

“I actually wasn’t too disappointed with the overall performance, I thought the players were trying to do the right things.”
Leeds dominated the possession against Cardiff, but Neil Warnock’s side put in an excellent defensive performance.
Cardiff put men behind the ball, and managed to frustrate Leeds and then punished them on the break.

The Bluebirds scored goals through Sean Morrison and Kenneth Zohore, and Leeds could not find a way back into the match.
The Whites have now lost three of their last four outings in all competitions, and they need to get back to winning ways soon, if they are to protect their place in the play offs.
Leeds are next in action on Tuesday evening when they take on out-of-form Bristol City.
