
Leeds United want Alberth Elis and the forward faces being sent down to the fifth tier of French football with Bordeaux.
The Whites have added yet another new signing today with Luis Sinisterra arriving from Feyenoord.
The Colombian speedster could replace Raphinha but with question marks surrounding Jack Harrison’s future, Leeds may need to think about other wide men.
One name mentioned is Alberth Elis, keeping the theme of players boss Jesse Marsch knows very well.

Marsch has pounced for two of his former Red Bull Salzburg players in Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen.
Add in Tyler Adams – a player Marsch coached with the New York Red Bulls and RB Leipzig – and it’s clear that Marsch is being given players he likes.
One interesting link was Elis, a player who was thriving with Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer during March’s time coaching the Red Bulls.
French newspaper L’Equipe reported in June that Leeds were showing a keen interest in signing Elis from Bordeaux.
The Honduran attacker spent last season on loan at Bordeaux but completed a permanent move earlier this summer.
With nine goals in 20 league games last season, the speedy forward was one of few shining lights as Bordeaux suffered relegation.

We covered reports that Bordeaux were being demoted to the third tier due to financial problems, possibly boosting Leeds’ chances of signing Elis.
Things may now get even worse for Bordeaux.
Their appeal against their demotions has been snubbed, and 20minutes in France report that Bordeaux could now be sent down to the fifth tier of France football.
Bordeaux are in a perilous position and if they are sent down to amateur level, it’s hard to see Elis wanting to stay.
Clubs attempting to vulture these clubs always feels cynical but it happens; Leeds pounced to sign Joe Gelhardt from a cash-strapped Wigan Athletic in 2020.
They may now have one eye on Bordeaux’s situation, knowing that there could be a bargain for Elis in the pipeline.
