Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur were linked with Chelsea youngster Trevoh Chalobah in the summer transfer window.
Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur linked with Trevoh Chalobah
90min reported on August 23 that Leeds and Everton were among the clubs who wanted to sign Chalobah on loan from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
The London Evening Standard reported in August that Tottenham were showing interested in Chalobah, who can also operate as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder.
There was even speculation that Tottenham had made a loan offer for the 23-year-old Englishman.
However, no move materialised, and Chalobah is still at Chelsea.
That could soon change, though, and Leeds and Tottenham may get another chance to sign the former England Under-21 international.

January exit possible
Fabrizio Romano has reported in his email newsletter (7:33am, September 25, 2022) that “Chalobah could leave Chelsea in January”.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that if the youngster does not play more in the coming weeks, then he could leave the Blues in the January transfer window.
Romano wrote: “Chelsea need to clarify situations with some players, and one of those is Trevoh Chalobah.
“During the summer, he wanted a move, just on loan because he wanted to play. In the end, despite negotiations with Inter Milan, AC Milan and RB Leipzig, Chelsea decided to keep Chalobah at the club. They changed their position in a few days, they decided they wanted to keep him.
“Still, at the moment, he’s not finding any space at Chelsea. He wants to be an important player, but it’s not happening. I’m told there are still conversations around Chalobah, so there is still a chance for him to leave in January.
“Whether it’s a loan, or a permanent move with a buy-back clause, we will see, because nothing has been decided, but there is a serious possibility for him to leave if his situation doesn’t improve.
“As I mentioned, Inter, AC Milan and Leipzig were really interested in the summer, so January could be an important month for Chalobah.”
Chalobah has made only appearance in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this season.
Graham Potter is the new manager of Chelsea now, and it will be interesting to see if he gives the 23-year-old more chances after the international break.
