According to a report in The Sun, Derby County have alerted a number of clubs that the likes of Jason Knight and Leeds summer target Louie Sibley are available this month as they try to raise the finances to avoid administration.
Derby have been left in a poor financial position as they wait for a takeover that has been in the pipeline for months at this point, and now there is a real risk of the club entering administration if they don’t balance the books.
The players haven’t been paid their most recent wages, and it seems as though the Rams could be in some serious trouble, therefore, they have to sell players.

One man who is reportedly being offered around is Louie Sibley, a player who Leeds held a strong interest in this summer.
Now, Leeds aren’t expected to be busy this month, but Angus Kinnear has said that the club will spring into action if an opportunity presents itself, and this seems like exactly the type of thing he was talking about.
Whether or not Leeds are one of the clubs that Sibley has been offered to is unknown, but after their strong interest in the summer, we wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case.
Sibley clearly has his admirers at Elland Road, and the fact that he’s now available for transfer surely won’t have escaped the attention of Marcelo Bielsa or Victor Orta.
This is a situation that is definitely worth keeping one eye on as a number of Derby’s players could be on the move this month.
