The Manchester City player would be a great addition to Leeds United.

Leeds United still have some work to do if they are to secure promotion back to the Premier League in time for next season, but assuming they do there will be some big decisions to make in terms of team strengthening.

While Leeds have a number of very talented players in their squad, manager Garry Monk will need to think long and hard about adding quality in key areas as they bid to make the step up.

One player who could be available and who would undoubtedly improve their midfielder is Manchester City player Aaron Mooy.

The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Huddersfield, where he has put in a number of superb performances, but if City are ever going to know if he can cut it in the English top flight another temporary stint next season could be their best bet.

Step forward Leeds, who will be looking for more experience in central areas despite the influence of Liam Bridcutt and the innate talent of Ronaldo Vieira.

Big things are expected of the latter yet it would be foolish to rely on him week in, week out in the Premier League and Mooy would offer a wonderful alternative.

Leeds still need to get there, of course, but assuming they do Monk should pick up the phone to the Etihad Stadium and suggest a loan move that could ultimately benefit all parties.
